From the moment I began my first animation assignment at McMaster, I fell
in love with the process of using Multimedia programs to bring life to the
characters I create. Most of my animation experience has been with
Flash, though I also enjoyed a brief stint with Maya.
This extremely happy dancing robot was created for Robert Hamilton's MM2H03
course (Intro to Animation). Our objective was to design and
animate a robot on a premade stage for 10 seconds. Embarrassingly enough,
I modeled Rovot's spectacular moves after my own dancing, which I recorded
and watched repeatedly for just that purpose.
During his daily stroll, a little boy named Ned finds a magical pencil on the ground, and quickly discovers that anything he draws with it becomes real. Unfortunately, such power comes with consequences...
"Ned's Creation Story" is another project created for Robert Hamilton's MM2H03 class, and one I'm still proud of. I had just begun learning how to use Flash, so Ned's movements are quite primitive, especially in the beginning. Nonetheless, I'd like to share Ned's adventure as it's one of the very first Multimedia projects into which I poured my heart and soul.
